Here's an awesome recipe for Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers that's perfect for any game day parties or just a delicious snack! They're creamy, spicy, and smokey all in one bite.
Ingredients
- 12 fresh jalapeño peppers
- 8 oz (225 g) softened cream cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika (optional, for extra flavor)
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- 12 slices of bacon (thin-cut works best)
- Toothpicks (optional, to secure bacon)
How to Prepare
-
Prepare the Jalapeños: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut each jalapeño lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes (use gloves if sensitive to spice).
-
Make the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
-
Fill the Jalapeños: Spoon or pipe the cheese mixture into the hollowed-out jalapeño halves. Fill them slightly above the edges.
-
Wrap with Bacon: Cut each bacon slice in half (or use whole slices if preferred). Wrap a piece of bacon tightly around each stuffed jalapeño, starting at one end and overlapping slightly as you go. Secure with a toothpick if needed.
-
Cook: Place the poppers on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the cheese is bubbling.
-
Pour: Remember that bacon and other greases never belong down the drain. Instead, pour into your Piggy Pouch, zip closed, and then toss in the trash, or keep in the fridge for later use.
- Serve: Let cool for a few minutes before serving and enjoy warm!
Enjoy!
